Held at the Richmond Historical Village at Bailey Park.


 

MERCHANT & VENDOR STREET SALES - 10 a.m. to dusk

Merchants and vendors will be lined up along Washington and Beebe Streets. Be sure to visit the non-profit organizations to help support our surrounding communities.

HORSE SHOE TOURNAMENT - SINGLES - 10:00 a.m.

Register at 9:00 am. Trophies are sponsored by TBA. Cost is $5.00 per participant. The horse shoe pits are located by the Richmond Community Center on Festival Drive.

NO ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES ALLOWED.

CHILDREN'S MAIN STREET PARADE - 11 am

The theme for 2013 is THE GOOD OLD DAYS! Watch it or participate! Line up begins at 10:00 am on Beech Street. The parade travels up Main Street to Park Street, and will be led by an antique Fire Apparatus Muster. Sponsors TBA

PING PONG BALL BLOWOUT - Immediately following Children's Parade

Catch a ping pong ball and redeem for prizes at the Festival Barn or at the many different participating local businesses. Prizes from the Festival Barn must be redeemed by 6 pm on Sunday. Sponsors TBA.

Please note: This event is for those 10 years and under. We cannot stress enough that this event is for kids only.

Pay $20for a wristband and ride all day until 6:00 pm. Only individual tickets available after 6:00 pm. Provided by Mid-America Shows. Height restrictions apply on some rides.


 

CHILDREN'S GAMES - NOON to 1:30 p.m.

Fun, games, and prizes too! These FREE children's games are for children 12 and under. Sponsored by the Richmond Recreation Department.

CHILDREN'S SIDEWALK CHALK ART CONTEST - NOON to 1:30 p.m.

Held on the Tiger Fruin Memorial Tyke Track. Contest for ages 12 and under. Register at the Beebe St. Park Pavilion between 12:00 and 1:00 pm. Winners will be announced at the Festival Stage at 2:15 p.m.

HISTORICAL BUILDINGS OPEN - 1:00 pm to 7 p.m.

The One Room Schoolhouse, Donely Family Cabin, Blacksmith Shop, Train Depot, and Memorial Walkway are open for tours. Docents will be in each of the historical buildings to answer any questions you may have. Sponsored by the Richmond Area Historical and Geneological Society. No cost.


 

STRAWBERRY SHORTCAKE SOCIAL - 11:00 a.m. to Dusk

Come by and try some of the best strawberry shortcake around. Sponsored by the Richmond Area Historical and Genealogical Society. Get yours fast! Only $4 per person.

The candy scramble will be held at the wooden play structure in the Beebe St. Park. Scramble will be done by age groups. FREE.

Driver entry fee: $50 (entry fee is non-refundable-no exceptions!)

Limited to the first 56 cars.

Heat Payout: 1st Place-$100, 2nd Place-$100, 3rd Place-$100

Feature payout: 1st Place-$2,500, 2nd Place-$1,250, 3rd Place-$500, 4th Place-$250, Mad Dog Award-$500

Admissions Cost: Adults $7.00, Children $4.00

Enjoy a special ending to your evening at the Richmond Good Old Days! Fireworks will be viewable in the Beebe Stree Park, and are provided by the American Fireworks Company. It will be a sight to remember! Rain day will be Sunday, September 9th.
