    Sponsored by Country Cruisers Club. Parade line up at the Fire Department parking lot (on N. Main St.). Cruise immediately following headed North up M-19. No Cost.

  • Little Miss Richmond Contest
    Find out who will be 2011 "Little Miss". Held on the Festival Stage.

    Applications available at the library or Community Center beginning on August 2nd. Please mail the completed form to Lorie Rix at P.O. Box 271, Richmond, MI 48062. Applications must be received by 4:00 pm, August 31th.
  • Strawberry Shortcake Social
    Presented by the Richmond Area Historical and Genealogical Society. Only $4 per person! Historic village open with special demonstrations all weekend.
  • The Fabulous Outhouse Races
    Watch this hilarious race down North Main Street. Three man teams vie for the trophy. Come see who has the fastest toilet in town! Don't forget the women Powder puff too! (Race begins at Monroe St.) No Cost.
  • Softball Tournaments
    Batter Up! Over 40 men's and women's teams. Battle it out to see who is the best of the best. Held at the Richmond Community School fields off of Division Road (32 Mile).

  • Children's Main Street Parade
    Children's Main Street Parade - sponsored by Waste Management - Pine Tree Acres
    A parade just for the kids. Watch it or participate in it. The theme for 2011 is 'Richmond Zoo'.

  • Classic Demolition Derby
    This year will mark the Derbies 35th anniversary! Who will have the toughest car on the track? Cost, Adult $7.00, Child $4.00, 12 and under.

  • Arm Wrestling Contest
    Sanctioned by A.P.S., presented by Detroit Arm Benders. Registration in the Festival Beverage Tent. Entry fee is $15.00 per weight class.

  • Ping Pong Ball Blowout
    Catch a ping pong ball and redeem at the Festival Barn or at many participating local businesses. Festival Barn prizes must be redeemed by 6pm on Sunday. Sponsored by the local area businesses. (10 & under only please.) We cannot stress enough that this event is for kids only. Ping Pong Ball Hopper was designed and Built by U.S. Pattern.

    A non-denominational service at Trinity Lutheran Church on Division. Service at 9:00 am

    The 48th annual "Great Michigan Parade". Voted MICHIGAN'S BEST Small-Town Parade by The Detroit News. Boasting the 2nd largest marching musical parade in Michigan. A proud tradition in Richmond! Fun for young and old alike.

  • 5th ANNUAL ANTIQUE FIRE APPARATUS MUSTER
    Come and see antique fire trucks, the Amkus Rescue Tools truck and a new E-One fire engine on display at Bailey Park, near Festival grounds. Raffle will be drawn at 3:30 pm, need not be present to win. Amkus Auto Extrication demonstrations at 12pm and 2pm. Watch us lead the children's parade at 11am down Main Street. Sponsored by LTM Fire Equipment.
